What happens when one factor of production is in limited supply?

    It affects the entire supply chain, resulting in the inability of a particular item being manufactured/distributed due to the loss of one factor of production.

    It can also force manufacturers to look for different producers, which also affects the supply chain - Manufacturers would have to wait for new producers to come online in order to complete the manufacturing process.
