    Because they can do a background check. They also can call your old job.

    In an interview the evaluation is done in a broad and complete way about who the person who is applying is, telling the truth is very important because it is to show transparency to the evaluate as best as possible so that he knows you. If something that is not true is said it shows the evaluate that the candidate is unreliable
