    After the British Parliament imposed the Stamp Act on the American Colonies, they passed the Currency Act of 1764 which prohibited the colonies from giving bills of credit the same status as legal tender, the problem was that those bills were the only solution from the lack of silver and gold coin that occurred in the Colonies.

    Later the Parliament passed the Quartering Act that required the colonies to find or pay the lodging expense for the British soldiers that were stationed in the Colonies.
