Down cycled materials eventually end up in a landfill, is the correct answer.

    Explanation:

The process of breaking down an item into its component elements is called down-cycling. The constituent elements are reused after the recovery, the main goal of downgrading is to reduce waste and increase the efficiency int he resource use. Up cycling the opposite of down-cycling, in up-cycling useful products are created from the waste and unwanted materials. Down cycling is not much useful for protecting the environment as the number of times a material can be down cycled varies for different products. Plastic bottles can be down cycled into carpets and fleece but these down-cycled materials cannot be down cycled further. So eventually they end up in landfills. It is better to recycle the products.
