War was what characterized the 1990s in Bosnia. It involved several inhumane treatments such as bitter fighting, indiscriminate shelling of cities and towns and ethnic cleansing.

These acts of violence were mainly done by the Serbs and to a lesser extent Croat and Bosniak forces.
