    Sympathetic nervous system is when the body is prepared for extreme action. Whereas, parasympathetic nervous system prepares the body to relax and calm down.

    Explanation:

    Sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are two major components of the nervous system. These both systems work in accordance.

    Sympathetic nervous system prepares the body to take extreme action or physical activity where the heart rate of the body increases. It prepares the body for as commonly known as flight-or-fight response.

    Whereas, parasympathetic nervous system prepares the body to cool down and to relax.
