    1) Ross could make a decent work for his baseball hats business with the second-hand machines he had bought before, however once he upgraded into an updated machine, allowed him to obtain more hats, in the same time, and even with less effort, since clearly besides being faster and more reliable, the fact that it's a brand new product against an old used one (by different people) let us think that the effort operating it will be lower, easier and way more effective.

    2) So naturally, the hats supply will grow considerably, optimizing Ross earnings, and allowing his business to grow, the determinant of all this cause was the new business acquisition, a mechanism that allowed him to have way better results and performance compared to before.
