I would start by cleaning out all the dirt and rocks from the injury with water. Then i would proceed to clean the wound further with peroxide or rubbing alcohol to kill Germs and and to prevent infection such as Staphylococcus aureus/MRSA, Streptococcus pyogenes, Enterococci and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I would then disinfect the area and close up the wound.
