    This scale is used to calculate a score against the sum of the number of "life changing units" of an event that occurred last year. A score of over 300 means the individual is at risk for disease, a score between 150 and 299 means the risk of disease is moderate, and a score of 150 means that the individual has only a small risk of disease. Many scholars believe that this scale is not the most reliable method for this type of information because it does not take into account how a person evaluates an event.
