Lakeisha and Kim would perform quite differently in the given exam with Lim more likely to perform excellently in comparison with Lakeisha.

    Explanation:

In academic environment, the level of academic study to a greater extent determine the performance of the student in an examination. After long study, it is expected for the person to rest his or her brain inorder to perform optimally.

Lakeisha deciding to watch movie without sleeping would end up becoming fatique and she would experience headache which would affect her performance in the exams when compared to Kim that took a deserved rest.

Kim performs better because of consolidation.

    Explanation:

Kim will perform better because, while Lakeisha still puts her brain to work by seeing movies, Kim consolidated what she has learnt by going to bed. Research reports suggest that memory consolidation only occurs during sleep.
