The Flynn Effect is the general difference in intelligence quotient, ordinarily known as IQ, scores after some time in all people groups. The Flynn effect is named for James R. Flynn, who did much to record it and advance familiarity with its implications. The term itself was instituted by Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray.
