How accurate is the view that sikhism is a blended religion and not a religious innovation?

The view is not entirely realistic, rather false in nature. Initially the religion Sikhism was started and practiced by the founder Guru Nanak Sahib in 1500 CE, it was not a blended religion but had its own identity and practices, though traditions are found where Guru Nanak Sahib is found practicing Muslim traditions like performing of Hajj and visiting Muslim shrines of the area, many Hindus discard these traditions but all of this was before he presented Sikhism as a distinct religion. But this is also a fact that as the religion emerged the popular religions of that area were Islam and Hinduism, which had a deeper effect on the religious practices of Sikhs. There came a time when Sikhism was in opposition to Hinduism (Golden temple invasion) and at times with Islam (Sikhs as ruling class of Punjab).
