Your roommate has come to you asking for your advice with her romantic partner. Based on the research by Rusbult (1987) regarding behavior in a troubled relationship. What would you recommend if she wants her relationship to persist?

    Answer: I will explain there two types of responses she needs to consider in her relationship as explained by Rusbult (1987). There are destructive/constructive and passive/active responses. The destructive behaviors is harmful in a relationship more than a constructive one which nurtures it. So, my roommate should avoid doing destructive behaviors such as leaving, threatening to leave, or even ignoring the relationship or partner.
