If you overpay your taxes during the year, when do you get the money back?

A.) You get your refund after you file your completed income tax form.

B.) You don't get reimbursed for the extra taxes you pay.

    A - you get your refund after you file your completed income tax form.

    Overpayment of taxes does not mean an automatic reimbursement. You must still file your taxes for the tax year and demonstrate that you overpayed your taxes.
