Primary group are the people with whom you are much close. Secondary group is the one with whom you are closer through common goal.

    Explanation:

In the primary group you get into the sharing of a lasting relationship with other people. For example, family. In the secondary group, you are connected with the people through the common goal and has less personal interactions with them. They are just your co workers.

A primary group is composed of people who you are close with and you personally know them, and you share a meaningful and lasting relationship with one another. An example of this type of group is a family.

A secondary group is a much larger group that you are acquainted with through a common activity or goal. They are the people that you have much less personal interactions except when there are activity gatherings. The example of this is the relationship you have with your co-workers or a club/team.
