What were two consequences that some countries in Africa face after gaining their independence

As most of African countries were colonies from European countries, most of them face difficulties related to infra-structure (water supplies, electricity) as well as religious persecution from groups as Boko Haram, that have killed many Catholic Nigerians in the last decades, due to different religious beliefs.
