Theory X style of management is a human motivation and management theory that shows the relationship beteen the physiological, security needs and the behaviour of employers in a given business setting.

This is as result of the study which shows that employees when left unchecked in there jobs, they will try to avoid work. Hence the reason they must be forced with the threat of punishment in order to do their jobs. This theory was propunded by Douglas McGregor, an American social psychologist.
