    Federalism is the system of government whereby the power is divided between the executive government and other arms of the governments inorder to have an effecient and effective running of the country. This is also done with the aim of checkmating the excesses of the aim government in question.

    An example is the canceling of law passed by the executive by the judiciary when such law is believed not to be for the benefits of the citizens.
