Martin Luther changed what people think about the Bible. At first, people thought that paying the church money would make God forgive them for their sins. But then Martin Luther proved that was wrong. He found nothing in the Bible about indulgences, proving that in order for god to forgive their sins, you must not pay the church, but ask god for forgiveness and live a good life.
