Entrepreneurs Howard Schultz and Margaret Hutchison Rousseau are both successful and well-known.

Schultz succeeded in turning a tiny regional operation into a national coffeehouse chain while Rousseau was a chemical engineer who designed the first commercial penicillin plant.

Both achieved their goals by setting up an ambitious strategy to secure new paths of growth. Rouseau's plant enabled scientists to produce large quantities penicillin that save people's lives.

Shultz efforts affected our life today in that he showed us about chain growth via rapid store expansion. However, Rousseau's contributions and advancements made in penicillin production have saved many lives.
