explain the term minorities? why do they lag behind the majority community both educationally and economically? how can they get their rightful place in society

Basically minorities are used for the social group that is less in number. They are legged behind because sometimes the majority community don't give importance to the interest of the minorities and as minorities are less in number, they are not able to do several things alone.
