    I believe the answer is: A. The Spanish did not find any gold in the Americas, but they did establish large plantations.

    The plantations made in the american continent is made to produce the goods that they intended to sell to other european countries. The spanish empire also tried to convert the South American people into catholic and require them to use spanish language for their day to day use (which is why until know almost all of these countries use spanish language with different accent)
