How did machiavellis ideas and actions reflect his respect for ancient rome

    Answer: Machiavelli's ideas and actions showed great respectful for Rome. He deeply respected the ones with power, the ones who knew how to control and use their power, and with The Prince, he supported his main political idea being the republican government. When he was officially in the government he formed a citizen army modeled after the ancient Roman Army. Although he was supsited, by Medici, he dedicated his main piece of work 'The Prince' to Medici as Medici was the ruler.
