Knowing what this research says about the power of prison situations to have a corrosive effect on human nature, what recommendations would you make about changing the correctional system in your country?

In my country (Argentina), art. 18 from National Constitution says that "prisions should be clean and healthy, for security and not for punishment of the criminals on them."

That is an utopy that really doesn't happen. Prisons don't have space enough, so criminals are cramped into a cell. It is necessary to move forward into other prison methods, to transform it, to humanize it.

Criminals have to be out of prison with the idea to get a job, not the idea of comitting another crime. They have to recover their dignity.

It is necessary to change many things. Give more money to prisions, so they can get improvements in buildings, educate prisoners so they can get a job when they get out. Teach them a trade, so they can use it outside.

There's a long way to go still. Many changes should be made.
