    Stephen Fuller Austin is known as the founder of Texas a he was the leader of the settlers of Texas.

    Explanation:

    Stephen Fuller Austin was an American leading empresario who had an enormous influence over the people of his area and was able to convince his people to move to the new land of Texas and establish a colony there

    This new colony was established with 300 families that followed the example of Austin and became the residents of the new state.

    These families followed the Puritan traits and led an agrarian life again following Austin which has been a deigning character of Texas.
