    Explanation:

    The term OAT is an acronym for Optometry Admission Test. This is a standardized proficiency test designed to assess the general academic strength and scientific information comprehension of potential applicants. The test covers four (4) basic subjects which are Natural Science (including biology, general chemistry and organic chemistry), reading comprehension, physics and quantitative reasoning. The test is usually administered by the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) year round.
