An autosomal disorder can be caused by a single abnormal gene on one of the first 22 nonsex chromosomes of either parent. So a parent with an autosomal dominant condition (as is the case with Destiny) has a 50% chance of passing that condition to a child.

This number remains the same for each subsequent pregnancy.
