    Because of this, taylor is called an armchair anthropologist. Armchair anthropologist refers to the anthropologist that refused to do actual fieldwork when making their research. Even though the majority of anthropologist unable to become productive using this method, taylor somehow managed to be credited for popularizing concept of animism
