Although this is a personal question that only you can answer, I can provide an example that can give you some guidance for performing your own work.

Often, when professionals learn about the different frameworks and perspectives from which they can understand their subjects, they get "stuck" into a framework that they find most convenient or useful. However, this can be detrimental to their development, as it prevents them from seeing a problem from all its angles.

A way in which you can avoid getting "stuck" in a particular framework would be constantly reminding yourself that other perspectives are available. You could also try to see the same problem through the eyes of these different perspectives.

A trend that I would be interested in learning about would be multicultural counseling. I believe that, as we live in a globalized world, this is an approach that is becoming more relevant than ever. It is also an approach that would give me the opportunity to understand the world from the perspective of many different cultures.
