How was the geography of the maya civilization similar to the geography of the Olmec civilization

    They both stated in Mesoamerica, around the Gulf of Mexico. While Olmec civilization was stated nearer to Veracruz, Maya civilization was stated at the Yukatan peninsula, in the today southeastern Mexico.

    Both civilizations lived around rainforests and the water, using their benefits, which influenced their development and culture.

    Therefore, they were geographically stated in the near areas. This is how Olmec civilization's cultural influence left mark on the Mayan civilization.
