Before Josh was woken up by Chester's laughter, he was in the third stage of sleep. Stage 3 is deep sleep, and during this stage, a person may experience sleeptalking, sleepwalking, bedwetting, nightmares, etc. The term we use for these behaviors is parasomnias and usually happen between NON-REM and REM sleep.
