How did the Scientific Revolution mark a shift to the perception that truth could be learned through experience and investigation?

The Scientific Revolution was a sequence of developments which headed the evolution of modern science. During this period major developments took place in the fields of astronomy, mathematics, physics, biology including human anatomy which modified the opinions of society about the Nature.

The Scientific Revolution took place in Europe at the end of the Renaissance which extended until the late 18th century. It influenced the rational social movement which was perceived as the Enlightenment.

Renaissance fostered curiosity, research, innovation, present-day knowledge. It caused individuals to examine traditional beliefs. During the age of the Scientific Revolution, people worked on using experiments and mathematics to concede the mysteries. This rational inquiry and search for truth shifted the judgment of the people that facts could be learned only through investigation. However, when the latest innovations made during the Scientific revolution, it began to prove old beliefs to be wrong.
