Phoenicians wanted smaller things they could sell for higher prices

    B) It was easier to ship smaller items.

    Explanation:

Phoenicians were the first extensively mercantile traders in that they traded across the whole Mediterranean with various products.

In the process of this trade they had come to understand that it is much easier to transport and make goods that are small and then transport them across the sea than have fewer and bigger materials that are not going to sell for as much.

They could recognize their monopoly on the things they were trading and then made the products on their own terms to sell away.
