Why is confucianism a religious tradition despite its lack of concern for the afterlife?

    Confucianism is considered religion tradition because its principles are based on ancient religious foundation in order to establish institutions and social values of Chinese society. A religion not only cares about afterlife but also it does set the parameters of a pacific way of coexisting in a society.
