Your identity can come from your cultural background. If one identifies as a Christian, they would follow the morals and guidance provided by their religion. So essentially, being a Christian (or any other religious/spiritual identity) would shape how you conduct yourself in society, what beliefs and morals you hold, as well as how you view aspects of the world (i. e. the cause and effect of certain actions, sinfulness, the definition of sin, ect.)
