you night think that the cotton gin would eliminate the need for slavery. it did just the opposite. why?

    The cotton gin was a much faster way of processing cotton. Because of this, it made it so more cotton needed to be harvested so that the processing could continue.

    This need for more harvesting created the need for more slaves on plantations.
