Venus's atmosphere prevents the landing of rivers into its surface as it's atmosphere is very violent. And in addition to this, acid rains in Venus is the norm. As soon as the rover lands, it can come across with acid rain that will corrode and destroy the rover. It's a waste of resource. But unlike in Mars, these inconveniences do not exist.
