Anticyclones are mainly formed in the higher latitudinal area in temperate lands. It is operated just in opposite way of cyclone. In its core part there is high pressure prevails. So wind go away from the center towards outside and the wind direction is anti clock wise in northern hemisphere and clockwise in southern hemisphere.

Anti cyclone brings clear day with light drizzle weather whereas cyclone brings heavy cloud coverage with incessant rainfall. Wind speed is also very less in case of anticyclone just 25-35 kilometers/hour. Here this drizzle lasts for seven days whereas in cyclone bad weather remains for hardly 2 to 3 hours thereafter everything gets normal back.
