Press and political reporting in Nigeria 1886/2016

Nigeria itself has varied media landscapes in the whole Africa. The print sector is very outspoken in terms of criticism of of unpopular government policies. Sometimes, media faces interference from public that are too political over their criticisms of corruption and security.

In the year 1992, the military government of Nigeria created the Nigerian Press Council (NPC) in order there is a regulation of media policies which includes the registration and journalistic practice.
