Samurai warriors had to follow a set of rules for their lives and battles which was called Bushido - today we can translate it as "the samurai's way". The term Bushido was officialy used for the first time in 17th century and it became more popular at the end of 19th century, however there are some signs that it was already used in some ways in 10th century.
