Why were the English interested in colonizing the American Southeast?

    The southeast had humid climate and soil was fertile. Tobacco, rice, and sugar were plentiful and people could make profits. They were able to fish for seafood and trade for things. The south was a hotspot for trade, profit, and fertile land.
