Why did colonists feel like they had to decide whether they should or should not buy certain goods?

    The colonists did not want to buy the goods that were taxed by the British parliament so they would boycott it and not buy it. Merchants are oils smuggle goods to sell to colonists.

    Well this is really a question you should answer because its asking you but the reason why they should is because some of those goods could be for medicines and they can pick and choose what ever they need to make that medicine or whatever they need.
