How might the development of farming have led to civilization? explain your answer

Farming allows people to produce more food, and most often more food that they need, i. e. each person can produce more than they need.

This means that some people could devote themselves to other activities than work: some of them to science, some to administration, some to governing, innovation or fight - all of those are factors that lead to the development of cultures and civilisations.
