How the weaknesses of the articles of confederation made it difficult for the new government to function?

    Under the articles, the colonies had more power then the federal government. the federal government couldn't implement any tax and could not have an army, so in order to be funded they had to borrow from the colonies, which didn't happen. In order for a bill to become a law, there had to back unanimous desison, every colony had to vote yes so nothing happened.
