Think about the legislation passed to control the number of immigrants to the country and the groups that expressed anti-immigrant sentiment. What do you think the founding fathers would have said about the anti-immigrant sentiment of the late eighteenth century? Why do you think they would have felt that way?     The Founding Fathers would surely have spoken against anti-immigrant sentiment. They wrote the Constitution to protect everyone's rights including immigrants. America is an immigrant country; the only true natives are the Native Americans. We were all immigrants once.
