Why is our knowledge of early Rome limited?

    Our early knowledge of rome is limited because there really isn't much! Besides what we can see with our own eyes. I think this is mainly because, since in early rome the throne was being tossed around allot from different people to people. And as that happened allot of information and artifacts were lost.
