    The answer is : a. He saw a contradiction between the teachings of the Hindu sacred texts and rituals and the state of Humankind.

    He was a prince who never went outside his palace until he grew older. He were taught that in Hindu that all people will live in peace and prosperity. One day, he stepped out of his palace and he witnessed with his own eyes the pathetic state of his people outside the palace who lived in miseries. That's the moment when he decided to leave his palace and seek the path of righteousness
