What might be the advantage of walking completely upright for homo erectus

    A completely uprighr posture enabled the early homo erectus to free two of his limbs from using them only for feeding purposes. It enabled them to manipulate objects with their hands while (!) walking. Furthermore, running only on two legs is much more efficient over longer distances compared to running on all four legs.
