Ancient Egypt was isolated through the Mediterranean sea in the north, through the river Nile and through the Saharan desert. All of these landmarks presented natural borders by which the ancient Egyptian civilization was sorrounded with.

These natural borders made Egypt somewhat isolated from other cultures in that sense because it was hard for them to reach the Egyptian civilization.
