    The 1903 Muller versus Oregon decision upheld the usage of labor laws and sex discrimination. In the ruling it clearly stated that the women could not be allowed to work for more than 10 hours a day and their health conditions should be protected. this was a huge ruling that had a great impact on the society at that time. The Oregon law that was passed in the year 1903 was upheld by the court of law. Curt Muller was the owner of a laundry business and he was convicted for violating the Oregon law by the court. He made a women employee work more than 10 hours in a day and was fined an amount of $10.
